We are lucky to have found a few true animal lovers who feed, love, care for and socialize our dogs while they’re at our Hope shelter. The same goes for the land owner who allowed us to build our shelter on his land. Please consider a donation towards our monthly rent and care fees. Our dogs are loved and cared for at the Hope shelter and we are grateful.
Shelter rent and care for Hope VMS Elaine's Dogs is 1,810 Euros a month. Due by the 10th of each month, rent is 750 Euros. That same day we need to pay our dedicated shelter workers, Dejan, 380 euros and our new workers Zijad, 300 euros and Hata 200 euros. Dejan has dedicated himself to our dogs for many years. Each day he cleans their runs (boxes) and lets them out to play. Zijad and Hata are learning their trades from Dejan.
They all give individual socialization, providing love, and a calming, consistent presence in the dogs' lives, which often in the past has been traumatic and difficult. With 68 dogs including puppies, it’s a tiring job, but Dejan, Zijad and Hata love them all dearly. Their knowledge of the character of each individual dog provides the basis for matching each with an eventual forever home.
